Timetable …

Our life is ordered around a community timetable. It is not rigid, but gives structure to the day. The basic outline of our day is:

6.00am

Breakfast / Prayer
9:00am to 10:00am
Terce / the Eucharist (Times to be confirmed)
10.15am

12.15pm
Sext (Mid-day Office)
Dinner / Washing up / Free time
2.20pm
Work/Recreation / Choir Practice / Gardening / Meetings
3:00pm
Recollection Bell
4.30pm
Quiet work / Prayer
5.15pm

We aim at a balance between the corporate and the solitary aspects of our life, and between liturgical and non-liturgical prayer. The Divine Office punctuates the day, and two periods of solitary prayer are provided for.

“Direct, control suggest this day all I design, or do, or say;
that all my powers, with all their might, in thy sole glory may unite.”
Thomas Ken, 1637-1711
