Please note that bookings are subject to availability and a satisfactory reference for first time visitors.

We ask guests to arrive between 10:30 and 12:00 noon or 2:30 and 4:30 pm (on Friday afternoon between 4:30 and 5:15 pm). If you would like to attend the Eucharist on the day you arrive, the Visitors’ Chapel will be open by 8:55 am and you will be shown to your accommodation after the service.

Times of public worship

We welcome visitors to join us for the Office and Eucharist. The Visitors’ Chapel is open about five minutes before each service.

From the A34

Take the Hinksey exit onto the A423 Henley / Reading road and turn left at the roundabout onto the A4144 Abingdon Road.

Turn Right at the second main traffic lights onto Donnington Bridge Road

Turn Left at the lights / T junction onto Iffley Road

Daubeny Road is the second turning on the left after the Pelican Crossing, opposite the VW Motorworld Garage. The Convent main entrance with car parking is opposite the T junction between Daubeny Road and Warwick Street / Parker Street.

From the Eastern Bypass

Follow the A4121 South until you reach the Littlemore Roundabout. Turn right through the sets of traffic lights onto the A4158 Iffley Road.

Continue along the Iffley Road and take the right hand lane at the traffic lights adjoining the Donnington Bridge Road junction. Continue through the lights turning left into Daubeny Road as above.

From City Centre by Public Transport

The Railway Station is just off the map beyond George Street. You can pick up a number 4a,b or c bus opposite the station at the bus stop 'island'. Get off at the Magdelen Arms stop. Walk a few yards and cross the road. Turn right down Daubeny Road opposite the Motorworld Garage. The Convent is straight across the road at the end of Daubeny Road. Enter the car park and front entrance of the Convent. Ring the bell at the main door by the fishpond. A Sister will come to answer the door as soon as possible.

Number 3 buses also come along the Iffley Road from the Centre of Oxford. All buses leave from Queen Street stops either outside Marks & Spencer or by Carfax.
